一部叫做《代达罗斯》的小说，已经出了前两部，最后一部完结篇，被之前发布的出版公司顺利拿下，来自九个不同国家的翻译人员也都被召集到了一起，共同完成翻译工作。随着原稿件遭泄漏，九个人谁是内鬼成了谜。于是九个人受尽屈辱，经历了要求脱光衣服罚站、被断粮断电等一系列不受尊重的待遇，心灵受尽折磨。剧情反转，谋杀真凶出现，整个事件的幕后推手也在紧张残酷的气氛中渐渐闪现…
电影一开篇，一段旁白：我小时候，喜欢折磨魔术师，让他们解密魔术，而我总能实现目的。镜头一转就是德国法兰克福书展，安格斯托姆出版公司获得了出版权即代达罗斯三部曲的完结篇“不想死的人”，并宣布多语种同步翻译将于十二月开始，该书将于三月份，在世界各地的书店上市。于是九个不同国家的翻译人员从各地纷纷赶来。他们来到一个豪华的府邸，服务员进行了发名牌、收通讯设备等一系列的流程工作，带着几位开始参观，并介绍此府邸的主人是俄罗斯的亿万富翁，是代达罗斯的死忠粉，他坚信世界末日迫在眉睫，多亏这份执着，才能保护这份杰作。 为了防止一切侵权行为，安格斯托姆（朗贝尔·威尔森饰）社长提出同步翻译，全球发布。同时几位翻译人员被提供了很好的住所，个人独立卧室，独立卫生间，但是严禁使用互联网，每日有国际新闻提供，也可以用提前储存的电影打发娱乐时间，早中晚规律进食，每日朝九晚八，单休。 大家来到工作间，这里看上去更像是一个教室，凯多利诺斯表现出极度不适，他表示自己选择这份工作，是因为自己想一个人独自工作。但艾瑞克坚持原稿和电脑必须留在本房间，吸烟也被禁止，他们的工作完全在监控下进行。 两个月后，在法国波瓦达西监狱，一段疑惑和追问又给本片加深了神秘感。大家一起共享美食，并进行着轻松的交流，场面很融洽，大家的关系也慢慢从陌生变得亲密，都在推断情节，读者等待结局已经不再是文学那么简单，已经成为了一种时尚… 更多>
